Happy that my imagis is in the Life Framer URBAN LIFE winning selection!
A note from the jury: “Beautiful, thoughtful, considered and mature. The de-saturated monochromatic nature of the image ticks all the boxes and the careful composition gives the image strength. It’s excellently structured, and well balanced.

Pretty stocked that my work on WeTransfer is part of the 5 most popular photography wallpapers which ran this year!

Thanks We Transfer and Rob Alderson for supporting creatives around the world and giving away billions of creative pages to promote creative projects.

For my Polish friends out there, here is an interview on the Polish morning show.

Last month, Adobe teamed up with inspirational photographers in order to host its first UK Photography Jam. This is me doing the talk. It was nerve-wracking but i had a great time sharing my experience. It was beautiful to see the reaction of people after the talk. Thanks Adobe and Richard Curtis for inviting me. You can watch the talk here. For more information about the Photography jam please read the article on BJF.

Follow your heart and your gut. Don’t do work because you think it is going to appeal to a

particular person or market. Do work that you think is great.

PEOPLE KEEP ON TAGGING VAVA AND I ONTO THIS PICTURE ON FACEBOOK.

I’VE SEEN IT IN SO MANY AIRPORTS.

THIS ONE WAS SHOT IN NYC BEFORE BOARDING TO AMSTERDAM

GREAT CASTING DAY IN LONDON FOR SKATE & DANCE PROJECT. Thanks Pepa Yepes for the beautiful pictures.

After the shoot for Dunk Elite in the Cage at West 4th NYC, I received a lovely mail from another photographer based in NYC.
“I’m a photographer and photo assistant and I enjoy seeing how other people work. You were smooth, taking up little space, in and out. People allowed you to come very close. I like that approach and it’s something I am still learning to do well. And you shot film! My goodness a real photographer. :)”

It’s a great summary of the day. It has to become an exchange, not an intrusion. I can’t wait to see the pictures (still processing the 85 rolls I shot in a week time!).

Last week I shot a series of pictures for Dunk Elite in NYC.
What a fun week to share a house with 5 of the best dunkers in the world.
We set up a studio in the garden and shot some nice B&W portraits. Pictures to come soon!

MY PICTURE ‘MUM’ IS CHOSEN FOR ‘PHOTO OF THE DAY’ ON DON’T TAKE PICTURES!

please check it here

Taylor Wessing has travelled to Stoke on Trent.

Today i found this lovely message in my inbox!

“I really enjoyed listening  to your interview while editing my work here in New Zealand.  It was so refreshing to hear a female photographer speaking about the juggling of children and breast feeding and being a photographer – all things which I myself have gone through. Great work!”

Ben Smith interviewed me for his podcast. If you have time you will find it here. It’s an hour long discussion where I explain: The transition from advertising, the way I photographed ‘Its Just Love’ project and finding beauty in the every day.

MY SON JULES IS FEATURED IN MORE MAGAZINE. HE IS GETTING FAMOUS.

THIS WEEK I WILL BE TAKING OVER #TJEJLAND ACCOUNT ON INSTAGRAM. I’LL BE POSTING IMAGES FROM DIFFERENT SERIES: SOME NEW ONES AND SOME OLD ONES. FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM @TJEJLAND. I HOPE YOU ENJOY. ASK ME ANY QUESTION.

BJB: IT’S JUST LOVE – FINDING BEAUTY AND EMPOWERMENT IN THE PORN INDUSTRY. FEATURED IN BRITISH JOURNAL OF PHOTOGRAPHY!

THE LAST PART OF THE JOURNEY WAS RATHER CHALLENGING. IT WAS HARD TO GO FROM SUNNY/HEALTHY TO GREY AND POLLUTED.

CHINA IS DEFINETLY A CRAZY COUNTRY.
BUT IT WAS FUN AND CULTURALLY SO INTERESTING.

MOTS OF THE PICTURES WERE TAKEN BY MY WONDERFUL ASSISTANT ALEX FORSEY

THIRD STOP OF THE JOURNEY: SYDNEY!

FIRST TIME IN AUSTRALIA. I FEEL SO BLESSED TO BE ABLE TO TRAVEL THAT FAR TO DO WHAT I LOVE THE MOST DOING. I ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

IT’S JUST LOVE HAS BEEN FEATURED ON FIONA ROGERS FIRECRACKER PLATFORM; A PLATFORM TO SUPPORT EUROPEAN PHOTOGRAPHERS. I AM THRILLED TO BE INVITED TO CONTRIBUTE AND HAVE MY WORK IN SUCH GREAT COMPANY. YOU CAN READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE.

FIRST TWO STOPS OF A MONTH LONG PROJECT WHERE I WILL BE SHOOTING STILLS AND MOVING IMAGE FOR AN AUSTRALIAN BRAND – LINDEMANS WINES.
SHOOTING BOTH FILM AND STILLS AT THE SAME TIME IS ALWAYS A CHALLENGE BUT I LOVE BOTH MEDIUM AND START TO ENJOY MORE AND MORE MY ROLE AS A DIRECTOR.

When asked to SHOOT FOR BOYS BY GIRLS, I immediately thought of French/Japanese model Louïs.

I’D NEVER WORKED WITH HIM BEFORE BUT ADMIRED HIS WORK FROM AFAR, in particular his mysteriously unique features and the conviction he projected in every picture I saw. AND I WAS FAR FROM BEING DISAPPOINTED.
I HOPE IT’S THE BEGINNING OF A LONG COLLABORATION.

THE INSPIRATION CAME FROM THE GODARD’S FILM PIERROT LE FOU (HENCE ME PAINTING HIS FACE BLUE ).

THE CREATORS PROJECT: ”Amsterdam-based photographer Sophie Ebrard spent four years taking behind-the-scenes photos of porn shoots. Her project It’s Just Love captured some truly heated, romantic moments and others that were simply two (or more) people doing their jobs.”

Last year I shot Bob Parks for the launch of the documentary the “R&B feeling“.
A film produced by Pundersons Gardens and the BBC that retraces Bob Parks prolific artistic and recently acknowledged career. I was lucky enough to meet Bob Parks in the New Forest, UK for a day and intended to grasp his incredible personality.

I just shot the last Aviva campaign for Adam&Eve DDB in Newport, Wales.  Quite a challenging shoot with heavy rain and wind but a great team. Check out the behind the scene images. THE FINAL WORK WILL BE UP SOON!

For Christmas, Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam has launched Give A Fuck; a charitable platform with limited-edition affordable art to raise money for the refugee crisis. Over 60 artists from around the world donated unique artwork.
The print I donated was part of  my ‘It’s Just Love’ project, but never made it to the exhibition.

”One of our favourites, however, is Jules in the Sink by Sophie Ebrard, which shows the nostalgic and intimate moment of a baby being bathed in the sink.’

MY PICTURE SELECTED FOR THE TAYLOR WESSING PORTRAIT PRIZE, ”JULES IN THE SINK”, IS FEATURED ON FUBIZ.NET AND PIGEONS & PEACOCKS.

It’s just love featured in Marie Claire Brasil!

”In ”Issue 9, “Growing Sideways” French photographer Sophie Ebrard enters the world of the 16 year old boy – capturing the mundane, but at the time life-defining moments, the things that in the moment seem far away and so insignificant, yet so crucial.”

Thanks for the feature! View the online article here.

Here is an installation shot of the Portrait salon exhibition. Sad I could not make it. It looks great!

Last year I shot James Cameron for Rolex. This video nicely captures the experience.

‘IT’S JUST LOVE’ WAS SELECTED FOR THE PHOTOGRAPHY ANNUAL BY CREATIVE REVIEW.

MY PICTURE FROM THE SERIES ‘SUPERBA AVENUE’, EXHIBITED AT PORTRAIT SALON 2015, IS FEATURED IN THE GUARDIAN, The BBC and SHUTTERHUB.

I had a great day shooting the new Dunk Elite gear with Simon, Joel and Reggie – thanks guys!

The works selected for this year’s Photo Prize were chosen from over 4,900 submissions entered by 2,201 photographer from 70 countries. My work ”Jules in the sink” was chosen to be exhibited!

One of my images is used for HSBC’s new campaign.

During ‘It’s Just Love’ the viewers got to enjoy our carefully selected playlist – developed in collaboration with Massive Music . Together we created a playlist of 23 songs, one per image exhibited.

One of my images from my series ‘Superba Avenue’ was selected for the Portrait Salon exhibition, running from the 19th to the 22nd of November at the Embassy Tea Gallery in London!

Last year September I shot this VW ad with Adam & Eve DDB. Such a great team of people involved in the project!

You can watch the film here.

I had a great evening at the AOP last night with 7 of my images on the wall. From the series “Finca la Prospera”, “Being 16” and “Superba Avenue”.

We have a double page spread in Liberation!
I just love the article and the picture chosen.
Thanks Clementine Mercier for the article and thanks Audrey for showing us the newspaper.

The article on ”It’s Just Love’ by the Creators Project and Vice was the most read article this month. How exciting!

You can view the article here.

”She shoots her subjects honestly and without prejudice, lending a new perspective to porn and the people who take part in it.”

Thanks Gup Magazine for the great feature! You can view the article here.

A great article on ‘It’s Just Love’ in the Huffington Post.

”Well, in her series “It’s Just Love,” Ebrard aims her camera at one thing often left concealed in your average porn shoot, no matter how dirty they may be. And that’s tenderness.”

A GREAT PIECE ON THE EXHIBITION ON DAZED DIGITAL.

“Ebrard’s photographs attempt to show the whole picture. Not just the deliberate inclusion of the cables, cameras and technical trappings of the locations, but the complex mindsets and sheer humanity of the people involved”.

Also featured in ”This Month’s most fascinating photo stories” by Dazed Digital.

My exhibition was selected as part of the top 10 to-do list at UNSEEN Photo Fair by TIME LightBox.

”The images in It’s Just Love, curated by Unseen co-founder Roderick van der Lee, seek to humanise the people Ebrard encountered, offering a more intimate and perhaps honest view of the adult sex industry.”

This article is the 5th most read article of the year on Creative Review!

”Shot with wit and tenderness, the images are set to challenge the preconceived ideas many have of the world’s most profitable industry…”

Thank you Eliza for the feature.

TODAY IS THE DAY: ‘It’s just love’ at the UNSEEN Photo Fair  2015 opens its doors.
